Remember Anne of Green Gables?
My great-grandmother once gifted me with the whole book set. I read it all. I, even in later years, watched the movie. Anne of Green Gables was an orphan sent to an elderly brother and sister to be raised as their own. Anne was a red-headed spitfire who had a great imagination with a love of writing. She was different. In later years, she was the love interest of Gilbert Blythe, and we watched tensely as Gilbert tried to live up to her high expectations.
Our dear, Gilbert Blythe, has passed away at age 48 (read here).
Some films outlive a person’s life. Didn’t we all love Prince Edward Island and Anne?
It makes me want to buy the movies and watch them again.
