We Were Both Wrong

speak to each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; sing and make music to the Lord in your hearts; always give thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; and submit to each other out of respect for Christ.   Ephesians 5:19-21 CEB

The Holy Spirit convicted me at noon in the middle of a typical work day. Jenny and I had argued lightheartedly on Facebook of all places late Sunday.

We were both in the wrong.

I deleted the whole status, at first, because I felt she was ridiculous. Later, I realized we were both acting like fools, and leaving the status up would make us both look bad.

S.M. said in exasperation, “Women!,” when I tried to justify my side of the story.

Examine myself, I read in the Bible; yes, I did, and found I still lack grace in some areas of my life.

What can I say? I am a work in progress.
