The Garden of Eden church is full of enthusiastic believers. I love watching the guy with the guitar strum his instrument with such passion! He has a shock of white hair and always wears a great big smile.
Why do we act so somber when we go to church? Why do we think, “Check! Church is done.” Today the pastor roared with enthusiasm. I kept checking the lights above our heads to see if they were trembling from the sound waves. Instead of brimstone and fire, we have a pastor who is between Tim Hawkins and Ravi Zacharius.
We always leave ready to face the new week. And oh, I have a week that is coming! Lots to do, but somehow God gives me the peace to do it.
On this Monday, I’ll give you some encouraging scripture. Hold it close to your heart. Don’t let it go. Don’t let anyone take it away.
“You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.” – Psalm 14:6
Did you spend time with God in the Bible today? What did you study? How are you applying it during the week?
